No weight gain....yet!

Well my weight hasn't changed since the first of the year when I weighed even with being 6 weeks pregnant! Yippeeee! But once again my husband wants to go out to eat at a Mexican restaurant...so here comes the quesadilla and chips with cheese dip! hehehe!
I imagine all this eating out is very quickly going to catch up with me!

On another note, Lacey is very excited and sings to the baby every night and this morning she hugged it goodbye before going to school. I think she is going to be a GREAT big sister. She thinks that I'm having twins, a boy and a girl, like my brother did. Who knows...maybe we will find out February 10th at the first ultrasound! I'll keep you posted.

dieting...only lasted a week! :)

Well I've come to the realization that I don't want to talk about dieting nor do I want to hear anyone else talk about dieting, so I'm going to end my blogs on diets! (You can say thank you now!) I've realized that although I don't mind writing about it, truthfully I hate to hear other people talk about it so why would I even write about it? I'm sure you don't want to hear about it either! So....I pigged out on a whole chocolate cake, drank 15 sodas, ate 15 pieces of pizza at the buffet and other stuff that I'm ashamed to admit.....just kidding. I didn't do any of that, although I might have liked to. I will continue to "diet," let's just say eat healthy but I won't post any of it!

On a better note, I am expecting a baby in September. So that might explain the first paragraph a little better! I am very excited and so is Zane and Lacey. We are truly blessed and we do not deserve what the Lord has given us. We are forever thankful and pray that we will continue to be blessed with a healthy baby. I will definitely keep everyone posted on upcoming doctor's visits.

Day 5

Did pretty good today and last night...soup for supper last night, cereal for breakfast and a frozen lunch and a salad for lunch. The cafeteria ladies swear it's low fat ranch dressing, but I'm not so sure. It sure did taste good. I only had a little bit though. Tonight Zane wants to go eat at Old Mexico for dinner. What do I have to eat there that is on the diet list??? No chips...can't do that! I won't order the cheese dip though. Chicken soft tacos? What's the fun in that? So dieting and blogging about it is hard! I guess I could lie and say I'm going to not eat any chips and only order 2 chicken soft tacos and water...but then why go out to eat, right? Can today be my reward day and I eat healthy the rest of the weekend? YES!!!!!!!!!!! That's what's going to happen. I will weigh this weekend for the first time since the first weigh in so next week I may change my tune a little bit and seriously diet!
Happy dieting and happy weekend! Yeah....one day I'll get back to posting pictures, I know my mom is about to have a fit!

Dieting Day4

Ok, so dieting is hard but I think I've been doing ok. I've stayed away from fast food. The other night, Tuesday I think, my daughter wanted McDonald's for dinner so she could get the Alvin and the Chipmunk toy, so I took her. One thing I learned in Weight Watchers was that if you are really craving something don't deprive yourself of it but have a small portion, so I ordered her the mighty kids meal and ate 1, yes one, chicken nugget and only 3 french fries. Of course I wanted more but I think that's good enough will power and it satisfied my taste buds for a little while. As for what I'm eating the rest of the time...every morning I have cereal for breakfast and I do drink 2 diet caffeine free cokes throughout the day and then water the rest of the time. At school, our lunches are pretty healthy. They don't fry anything and they haven't been serving the delicious buttermilk ranch dressing, so that's a big help! Today I brought a frozen box lunch and tonight we are going to cook shake n bake chicken, green beans and probably stove top stuffing or something like that.
Ok, so all that sounds wonderful but I must confess I haven't completely given up the chocolate. I did finish off the bag of Lindt truffles but only 2 at a time per day! So, is that really that bad? Probably but it's better than eating 5 or 6, right? :)
I'm not a big exerciser so I really haven't been doing what I need to. Today was the first day that I "worked out" on the wii fit. I did physical workout for 21 minutes (worked up a sweat) and then I did several minutes of the balance training. I'm sure I should have done it for about an hour but I had an audience of students watching me...no fun! They enjoyed it though! So, maybe tomorrow I will increase to 30 minutes.
Amanda, how are you doing with your dieting? Please tell me you've cheated a little bit...if only to help my feelings! :)
Happy dieting...and Roll Tide!
(Oh, funny story...one of my students is a Texas Longhorn fan...boo. I made a "bet" with her that if Texas wins I'd bring her a treat, if Alabama wins she can bring me a treat...just for the record, she's the one who bought me the Lindt truffles...hehehe! BUT, I told her since I was dieting that she could just bring me a can of soup instead of chocolate. She laughed and told me to buy her a book, cause Texas was going to win!) {I bet betting with a student is a major no no in school board policy, huh? Might not should have posted that! Just kidding!}
Once again, happy dieting and Roll Tide!

New Year's Resolution

Hummmm? Wonder what it could be??? What every woman wants to do....loose weight! So, I thought if I kept track of it on here than maybe it will hold me more accountable. We will see.
I weighed last night and I weigh 4 pounds less than I did when I was 9 months pregnant. So, with that being said, I need to get busy. Knowing that I was going to start dieting, yesterday I tried to finish off all the Lindt Lindor Truffles...I didn't get them all eaten so I'm going to have to donate them to the school. I am proud to say that I brought a box of chocolates (still in the wrap) and several other bags of candy to put in the teacher's lounge! (But I didn't have the heart, yet, to donate my truffles...can't I reward myself on the weekend?) Uggghh! That's heartbreaking.
Ok, so today is the first day of dieting....I ate a bowl of cereal (and in just a few minutes I have to go down and "have breakfast" with my coworkers...I'm going to try not to eat anything!!!). For lunch I brought a frozen meal. It only has 3 grams of fat for half the box. I will probably eat the whole box so that it fills me up. In comparing it to the Lean Cuisines and the Smart Ones it has less fat and calories. So hopefully that will work. I'm sure anything is better than McDonald's double cheeseburgers and fries! :) Happy dieting!!! I'm off to the breakfast...with McDonald's biscuits, grits, sausage, doughnuts, breakfast casseroles, etc. Let's test my will power....it's probably a good thing it's not a chocolate buffet or my diet would have to start tomorrow! :)

Ok, so I made it through the breakfast and what do I see when I get back to my computer??? An email asking me to buy Girl Scout cookies! (They only sell them once a year, what will one or two boxes hurt? I'll freeze them and that can be my reward too!) Man, dieting is tough. I am proud of my will power at breakfast though, not so much on the Girl Scout cookies! Well it's 11:00am and time for lunch. My bowl of cereal and fat free milk is way gone now and I'm starving!!! So, here's to my frozen lunch in a box! Happy dieting!
