November 21, 2009

My plan for this past weekend was to invite one of Lacey's friends from school to come over to our house and play while I cooked and cleaned. I was hoping that a friend would keep her occupied and I could get something done. Well I knew my plan would either work or backfire on me! It just so happened that it worked! Lacey and Rachel played WONDERFUL together! They played outside on the swing set, they drove the car, they painted, played hide and go seek and doctor with the baby dolls all while I cooked dressing, cookies and peanutbutter balls in 3 hours!! (Not joking...I did it all, while they were playing! It was awesome!)

Lacey and Rachel having a ball in the Mustang! They ran into every tree, bush and swing they could find. They had a great time together.

The Peanut Festival

One afternoon we surprised Lacey by just showing up at the Peanut Festival. She was sooo surprised when she saw the Ferris Wheel and she realized that was her surprise! She went nuts, she was so excited! Feeding the goats, llamas, cows and sheep at the petting zoo.
Riding the tea cups! First ride of the night!

Lacey bungee jumping! She loved that too. Not heavy enough or daring enough to try to do flips!

Mommy and Lacey on the Ferris Wheel. Mommy was a little nervous! That thing is high and goes slow enough for you to realize how high you really are! The view from the Ferris Wheel. You see the Wild Mouse ride? Well you have to be 42 inches tall to ride it and Lacey really wanted to ride it. Well she's only about 39/40 inches tall. Well the little guy that was operating the ride asked it she was tall enough and I said yes. So we waited in line for 20 minutes. He kept eyeing Lacey like she wasn't tall enough. So I put her hood on her head and told her when she walked by the man to stand on her tippy toes or he wouldn't let her ride. Well we get up to the gate and she is on her tippy toes. He measures her and tells her to stop standing on her toes. Well she would NOT get off her tippy toes. I had to physically put her heal down so he could measure her. She was about an inch short (with the hood on) but he let her ride anyways! Lacey was determined to ride the Wild Mouse!!

A very fun evening!!

Long Overdue!

Some of Lacey's friends at school. Her friend Rachel.

Some of her classmates.
Zane wanted to take us on a boat ride to see the changing color of the leaves. It was a little chilly that morning, so we bundled Lacey up in her ski suit. She was pretty warm!
Decorating the pumpkin!Our finished product!

Halloween evening with Scott, Tina, and Ivy.
Lacey and Ivy playing with a box! Out of all the toys they had the most fun with a box!
Ivy wasn't thrilled about having her picture taken!
Lacey getting her face painted!
Now it's Ivy's turn! She wanted a butterfly! Lacey actually wanted her whole face painted but we just couldn't do that!
Ivy's birthday party! November 1, 2009

Mrs. Debbie's wedding cake, October 24, 2009. Something simple! One cool evening Lacey wanted to have a campfire, so we roasted hotdogs! That was a lot of fun. Too bad she wouldn't eat them! Mommy and Daddy did!
