First Day of Preschool!

Laceygot her first homework assignment the week of PreK orientation. She had to create a poster with pictures and telling all about her. To be completely honest, Lacey did the majority of this poster herself. I know the finished product looks like Mommy did it but this is what I had her do. I pulled up all the pictures on the computer and she picked out every picture to put on her poster. She also wanted glitter since glitter and glue are her favorite things so I put the glue and she put the glitter (yes, I have glitter everywhere but I love it too so it's ok!). She also wrote her name, a few of the captions and that she love starfall.com. She placed the pictures where she wanted them but I did add the colored paper behind the pictures, but she picked out the colored paper! :)

I love the backwards "s" in her name but not starfall.com.

This is the first morning of preschool! Lunchbox and bookbag with all the 100 forms signed!
Mrs. Lisa Salter her teacher. She is WONDERFUL. Lacey loves her!
This is what she looked like when I picked her up! She was exhausted and they only went till 11:30 the first day! She was so tired and so hungry!
Ok, a few little stories about preschool. She has already learned a few songs, to raise her hand when she wants to talk and how to go to the bathroom stalls by herself and lock and open the doors! Amazing for 2 days. Now, there have been some problems. The first day of school a girl pulled her hair and a little boy asked if she was alright. Lacey said she told the little boy, "I'm just fine!" He was a nice boy! Then she told us about the boys at the lunch table TRYING to burp and a little boy that was chasing her around the playground trying to make her eat a stick. After much worrying about the boy making her eat a stick, she now knows that only alligators and dogs eat sticks and that she might want to play by the teacher today (also she wanted to wear her tennis shoes so that she could run away from the little boy and be faster!).
I can't wait to pick her up today and hear all the new stories that today offers. Oh, and now I know how it feels to be the parent in the pickup line at school....it's not very fun!

That is too funny! Madison still doesn't tell me much about her day. I ask her every day what she did, ate for lunch, etc... All I ever get is I don't know or nothin!! Ha! Maybe one day she will elaborate and I will get to hear about little boys chasing her around the playground. Good stuff! I love the fact that I can turn my blog into a book and that way the things we write will be forever in print, and we won't forget!!

It is still hard to believe that she is starting school. She will be the star of the class. She is so smart and quick to learn. But tell her to not let the boys catch her. That comes much much later on.
